Curious or interesting creatures found in a ground, or somewhere...

An acorn weevil, Curculio sp. ("shigi-zou-mushi"). 2017.11.18 [2017.10.24 (left), 2017.10.04 (right)] making a hole in the surface of the acorn for laying.
The body length except for the proboscis is 6-7mm.



A pellet made of a shell of the crayfish, Procambarus clarkii ("America-zarigani"). 2017.10.17 [2017.09.25] on the handrail in a bridge.



Giant mushrooms, Macrocybe gigantea ("niou-shimeji") (about 50cm in colony diameter, about 15-20cm in each umbrella diameter). 2017.08.29 [2017.08.18, 2017.08.21] on the leafy ground. (A green object is a cellular phone.)
A diameter of a colony often grows into more than 1m.



A lid of sea snail, Strombus luhuanus ("magaki-gai") (about 1cm in length). 2017.08.23 [2017.07.31]
That has a shape like the blade of the saw.



A kind of colorful moth, Barsine striata striata ("beni-suji-koke-ga") (about 2cm in body length) on the windowpane. 2017.08.21 [2017.07.31]

He/she is really very similar to dead leaves.



A kind of moth, Grammodes geometrica ("naka-guro-kuchi-ba") (about 2.5cm in body length) on the wall. 2017.07.28 [2017.06.15]
He/she has curious wing patterns.



A kind of dragonfly, Sieboldius albardae ("ko-oni-yanma") (about 9cm in body length) on the bread !?. 2017.06.15 [2017.06.05]
He/she did not eat the bread.



The Orange Hairstreak, Japonica lutea ("aka-shijimi") (about 40mm in wing width) on the leaf. 2017.06.10 [2017.05.23]



The back side of Sevenspotted Lady Beetle, Coccinella septempunctata ("nana-hoshi-tentou") (about 8mm in body length) emerging on the leaf. 2017.06.10 [2017.05.16]>
Seven spots are not still emerging.



A Yellow Tip, Anthocharis scolymus ("tsuma-ki-chou") on the leaves (about 4cm in width). 2017.04.29 [2017.04.24]
It was difficult to take a picture because he didn't touch down to there easily.



A little violet, Viola japonica ("ko-sumire") on the ground (about 1.5cm in flower diameter). 2017.03.26 [2017.03.16]
"ko" means "small". But the size of the flower is like other violets.



A little egret, Egretta garzetta ("ko-sagi") got on the rock in a ridge in a pond (about 60cm in body length). 2017.01.31 [2017.01.07]
